Bulat has been taking portraits of friends and friends of friends in their home environment for several years.

I travelled to ufa to meet all of them and record their responses to each others’ portraits. As a result, I made an audioguide which instead of telling about people in the portraits uncovers connections and encounters between these people. As you walk around the gallery the people present in the photographs start talking about each other, creating a resonating soundspace.
